Ashmolean Museum Egyptian Galleries
http://www.ashmolean.org/plan/galleryclosures/
I am planning a visit to Oxford (U.K.) to see the Egyptian galleries at the Ashmo, so I gave them a quick call to make sure that the galleries are actually open during the £61-million redevelopment.
The nice lady on the phone said that they were certainly open at the moment, but that they this may change in the next few months. Basically, if you are thinking of visiting the Ashmo to see the Egyptian collections (or any others, for that matter) the safest solution will be to phone the museum: +(00)44 (0)1865 278015
