Astronomical ceiling found at South Assasif

Luxor News Blog (Jane Akshar)

I'll post any more news as it appears. As Jane says, the full report will probably filtered through the SCA, when photographs should become available. The gallery on the South Asasif website is buried in the "Our Team" page under a "Gallery" link on the right (http://www.southasasif.com/Our-Team-Gallery/index.html) and there are two sets of photographs - the second set load automatically when you have clicked through the first set.

There are some photos on the South Assasif website http://www.southasasif.com/Map.html that shows the recently rediscovered astronomical ceiling. It had been mentioned in old documentation about the tomb but nobody had any idea if it still existed. So it was a great coup for the team to discover it this season. Astronomical ceilings, especially ones coloured as brightly as this one as quite unique.
