Dr. Hawass on Tut and Other Things
This is an interview with Dr. Zahi Hawass on the travelling king Tut exhibition now in New York. For the first time in a long time Dr. Hawass mentions the mask known as Kanefernefer in the St. Louis Art museum which was allegedly stolen out of a storage magazine and smuggled out of Egypt.
The mask might be stolen but before the S.L.A.M. purchased it they first cleared the purchase with Egypt's Supreme council of antiquities. Dr. Hawass also mentions finding foundation deposits and other indications that he has discovered a new tomb in the valley of kings.
