Minister of Culture Farouq Hosni left Cairo for Paris Saturday 20/10/2007 accompanied by a delegation on a several days' visit to France.
In pre-departure statements, Farouq Hosni told reporters the visit falls within the framework of supporting the Egyptian nominee for the membership of the UNESCO's World Heritage Committee.
Only seven members among 20 will be selected, he said.
