The Harris Matrix
For those of you who are interested in the process of archaeological excavation and its history this website is dedicated to the Harris Matrix. Developed by Edward C. Harris it provides of recording the relationships between archaeological stratigraphy and features in a systematic and diagramatic way. The entire of Harris's book Principles of Archaeological Stratigraphy (the 2nd Edition, 1989) is available for download free of charge, and there are useful articles to peruse.
