International Committee for drawing necessary studies for transporting Cheops ship

Culture Minister Farouk Hosney declared on 6/7/2007 that he will issue a decision to form a technical international committee including a large group of qualified specialists to draw up studies for transporting Cheops ship from its present location beside the biggest pyramid to the Great Egyptian Museum which is currently established.

Hosney also said that Cheops ship consists of small pieces which need to be properly transported according to scientific basis before finishing the establishment of the museum.

On the other hand, Culture Minister and the Head of Higher Council of Luxor City agreed on using the old houses area in Al-Quarna to be a big drawing studio as it was
before in the West Bank of the River Nile.

Meanwhile, the Culture Minister starts in executing the stage of developing the area of Al-Ahram, which includes planning roads, setting lighting systems, and pavings. In addition, he is following up this project's details personally such as the sizes of stones used to cover the floor area.
