Islamic Museum Counts its Losses
Last weeks explosion which killed 6 people and damaged the National library and the Islamic Museum claimed damages to 165 objects in the museum including the complete destruction of 74 objects made of ceramic, glass and wood. There is already a plan for the museums restoration including an assessment by UNESCO to aid in restoration.
I cannot help but think of all those old beautiful enameled glass lamps which hang in the old mosques, what a shame!
