A brief piece saying that Farouk Hosni is making no statement about the corruption case until it has proceeded through the required legal processes:

Culture Minister Farouk Hosni will take no sides on a recent corruption case involving two of the ministry's top employees, Ayman Abdel Moneim and Hussein Ahmed Hussein, Ahmed Salah, the ministry's spokesman told Daily News Egypt.

Both Abdel Moneim and Hussein are being investigated for taking bribes and for using their positions in the ministry for personal gain. "Our work in the ministry is seen by the public and that is why when there are mistakes everyone can see them just as they see our successes," Salah said.

He also indicated that Hosni is in no position to comment on whether or not the two suspects are guilty because "the issue is currently in the hands of the Egyptian authorities and the legal system, which gives no one the right to interfere and say his opinion on the matter."
