New part discovered at the Eastern cemetery of Alexandria

According to Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim (Minister State of Antiquities) a team of archaeologist of the Ministry of Antiquities discovered 4 tombs carved in stone in Ibrahimia area of Alexandria. The tombs dated back to different eras from Graeco-Roman period to Byzantine era (331-641 B.C). The site is a part of the eastern cemetery of old Alexandria. The discovery happened during a regular soil palpation before issuing a building license. Several antiquities were found inside the tombs and the oldest of which is dated to the second century B.C
