Burger King to open in Egypt
http://www.qsrmagazine.com/articles/news/story.phtml?id=5328
Look at Egypt, Burger King is on the march: "King Europe GmbH, has signed a development agreement with Hana International Company Limited, a subsidiary of Olayan Financing Company, the Saudi and Middle Eastern arm of The Olayan Group. The agreement gives Hana the exclusive right to develop the Burger King brand in Egypt and other north African countries. The opening of the first Burger King restaurant will take place during the first half of 2007, at Egypt's City Stars Mall in Cairo, one of the largest shopping malls in the region. Two further openings are due to follow shortly in Sharm El Sheikh, signalling the beginning of a large expansion program over the next five years."
They join other western style fast food outlets like MacDonalds and Pizza Hut.

Game: Luxor 2
http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/13161/Xbox-Live-Arcade-Wednesdays-Luxor-2/
"Microsoft announced today that for this week's Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays it plans to release the smash-hit action puzzler Luxor 2, which will be available worldwide for 800 Microsoft Points. Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, again threatens the Two Lands, and you must save Ancient Egypt from his terrible wrath in Luxor 2. Wielding the powers of Isis, battle your way across Egypt. Use your mystical winged scarab to shoot magical spheres and destroy encroaching colored spheres by making matches of three or more. Stop them all before they can reach the pyramids. Unleash the powers of Isis by catching falling power-ups. Collect gems and jewelry for bonus points, or Golden Ankh coins to earn extra lives. Defeat Set in his temple stronghold or Egypt is doomed!"
There are screenshots on the page.
As far as I can tell (and I have no real idea how these games work!) there is a PC version available for download at:

Luxor Brass Band
http://touregypt.net/teblog/luxornews/?p=484
I loved this very short piece on Jane Akshar's Luxor News Blog - a photograph of a lovely brass band playing at the temple of Hatshepsut: "At the temple of Hatshepsut the other day this band was playing. Nobody I spoke to had any idea why? Nobody important was expected, nothing was going on. I didnt even know Luxor had a brass band, where to they perform, where do they practice. A mystery even better than the curse of Tutankhamun :-)"

Game: Mosaic Tomb of Mystery
http://arcade.usatoday.com/fiche.php?intIdGame=142001&POE=ATCGFBX
"An analysis of King Tut’s mummy has revealed a sword wound. It’s up to you to uncover what is hidden behind this mysterious death… Prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey to the age of pharaohs and pyramids. In this unique title you’ll need to solve exciting puzzles to clear up the mysterious death of King Tut. Gather the pieces that fall from the sky, pivot them and fit them in the mosaic.
