Tutankhamun exhibition in London launches next week

"Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, will open "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs" exhibition in London next week," said Culture Minister Farouk Hosni Monday5/11/2007.
Around 131 artefacts from the tombs of the boy-king Tutankhamun and other kings, discovered in the Valley of Kings in Luxor, will be on display during the nine-month exhibition, he added.
The exhibition is held at the 02 arena, formerly known as Millennium Dome, in Greenwich, London.
Among the dazzling pieces will be the royal diadem, a gold crown encircling the head of the king's mummified body.
Farouk Hosni will leave for London early next week to take part in the exhibition.
So far, 132,000 tickets have been already sold to see the 3,000 to 3,500-year-old golden treasures of the boy king.
The artefacts of King Tut were last on view in Britain in 1972, setting attendance records worldwide by drawing 1,700 vistors.
