50th anniversary of cultural cooperation between Cairo and Tokyo

"Discovery" T.V Satellite Station would screen on September 23, a documentary in Japanese and English on the unearthing of Queen Hatchebsut mummy. The documentary deals with the secrets behind the unearthing, through the use of the most up-to-date lab in the world analyzing DNT at the Egyptian museum.

The Egyptian embassy in Tokyo gave a reception for mass media men in Tokyo museum, where Egypt's ambassador in Tokyo Walid Abdul-Nasser said the event would contribute to boosting the Japanese tourists travel to Egypt as this event is coinciding with the elapse of 50 years since the Japanese-Egyptian cultural cooperation agreement has been sign.

The Japanese television has chosen Egypt to be the guest of honour in its celebrations of the new year. The NHK network will focus on Egypt over three days, highlighting its ancient history and cultural mosaic.

Pharahonic, Islamic and Coptic monuments will be in full display on the Japanese TV.
