Number of Japanese tourists in Egypt up to 120,000

“By the end of November 2007, some 120,000 Japanese tourists visited Egypt,” said the chairman of the Egyptian tourism office in Tokyo.

Ibrahim Khalil said the office used new ways such as advertisement screens in the corridors and the Internet to promote the Egyptian tourism in Japan.

There is an intensive public relations campaign including promotional activities in the main Japanese cities, Khalil was quoted by as saying.
