Ancient Egypt Magazine October/November 2008

Thanks to Bob Partridge (Editor of Ancient Egypt Magazine for letting me know that the 50th issue of “Ancient Egypt” magazine, October/November 2008, (published in the U.K.) is now available.
This issue will also be available (by 10th October) as an electronic version (pdf) which can be found at the Ancient Egypt website. This may be useful for anyone with a broadband connection who may have difficulty in getting hold of a paper copy of the magazine, or who might want to see a copy before subscribing. Individual issues can be purchased online, as well as a subscription.
As a special offer, and for a limited period, a FREE online version of the previous issue of the magazine (August/September) is available at the site.
Contents of the New October/November issue include;
- News from Egypt: The magazine’s Egypt Correspondent, Dr. Ayman Wahby Taher, reports on new discoveries at Saqqara, Taposiris Magna and Luxor.
- The Amarna Project: In the fifth of a series of articles, Professor Barry Kemp looks at religion in the city of Akhetaten and asks if the cult of the Aten was a religion for all.
