This article from Al Ahram presents the fine Dr. Hawass being trapped in an elevator in a flooded shaft but fortunately the Doctor is okay. The Doctor heads an Egyptian Dominican team excavating the Temple of Taposiris Magna in search of Cleopatre VII and her lover of whom Plutarch says were buried together.
The article also features the dig leader Kathleen Martinez who inspired Dr. Hawass to look at the temple for the lovers remains. So far a number of gilded mummies have turned up and Dr. Hawass speculates that perhaps mummies of a man and women found are to be interpreted as possibly being the tragic lovers.
A royal tomb at the temple is perhaps to be expected but when all is revealed it may actually be that of Ptolemy IV and perhaps his great wife Arsinoe III.
