A few weeks ago the Friends of the Petrie Museum suggested an event to celebrate Bob's life and Jan Picton says that this seems to have touched a chord with many of his friends who were unable to attend the funeral:
You don't have to be a member of the Friends to participate.
The date is now confirmed as Friday 25th November and there will be more details in the mailing. However, you can help us by sending me any favourite photograph you have of Bob (either Egypt related or social), preferably as a jpeg, for display on the night. If you already know that you won't be able to make this date but would like to send us a story about Bob, we'll include it on the memory wall. This is going to be a celebration so come prepared for a party and to give Bob a send off that he would have enjoyed.
