The "Third International Congress for Young Egyptologists – Commerce and Economy in Ancient Egypt" is to be held on September 25 – 27, 2009 in Budapest, Hungary.
The theme of the congress is "Commerce and Economy in Ancient Egypt".
Papers are invited on any aspect of the topic (archaeology, history, religion, language, literature, economic theory, etc.), reports and presentations about excavation projects pursued in Egypt are also welcome. The proceedings of the congress will be published.
We have the privilige to welcome Prof. Manfred Bietak, Prof. Jac. J. Janssen, Prof. Ulrich Luft, Prof. László Török, Dr. Edward Bleiberg, Dr. Ian Shaw, and Dr. David Alan Warburton who have already confirmed their intent to join the Academic and Advisory Committee of the congress. As a special guest, Dr. Alessia Amenta will be present as well.
Abstracts and registrations for speakers and poster presenters should be submitted no later than March 31, 2009. The Congress is open to visitors as well.
