Daily Photo - the Nubian Village, Aswan
South of Aswan is the Nubian Village, which is a genuine functioning village (our guide on the wildlife day trip was brought up there), but has set itself up as a type of museum of Nubian life. It is really very pretty, and the inhabitants of the village are very welcoming without putting any pressure on visitors. This makes it a very nice place to make purchases of items made locally. The scenerery from the boat on the way there and back is also very fine.
