Egyptian Academy in Rome to be inaugurated mid-September

The Egyptian Academy in Rome is to be inaugurated mid-September, Culture Minister Farouk Hosni said.

The minister returned home on Saturday 17/7/2010 coming from Rome where he followed up the completion of renovation works of the academy and final touches of the project.

Dr. Ashraf Reda, the academy director, gave the go-ahead for equipping the Egyptian Museum in Rome to be inaugurated in September.

The museum will comprise 120 artifacts belonging to different eras including the Coptic, Greek, Roman and Islamic ages, he added.
