The mastaba of Mereruka in Saqqara

OsirisNet

Thanks to Thierry Benderitter for the news that the super OsirisNet website has been updated with comprehensive details about the tomb of Mereruka, one of my favourite tombs in Egypt.

It has been more than 70 years since the last publication (incomplete) of the mastaba of Mereruka in Saqqara. The tomb is well known as it is open to the public. OsirisNet has published the first complete publication of this beautiful monument, which includes 21 surface rooms and a funeral chamber (those belonging to Mereruka himself).

Over 150 colour photographs and many drawings and plans have been used to offer a complete view of this mastaba.

It will be extended by the production of the portions of the monument belonging to Mereruka's wife Watekhethor, and his son Meryteti.

See the above page for full details.
